A few people really helped a lot Roger Ray collected cans at his work, which brought in more than $150. An anonymous person left $200 under our door last Christmas Eve. The Livermore General Baptist Church collected cans and money and sent her $250. Our church, Owensboro First General Baptist collected cans. Relatives, neighbors, friends and individuals from Calhoun Elementary School donated cans and money.
As I write, Allison and my husband, Ed, are in Honduras doing God's work, along with others from our church and a few area churches. On the day they left, my Daily Blessings calendar said: "God has always used ordinary people to carry out his extraordinary mission." Isnt it amazing how God works things out?
