A total of 8,960 pounds of paper was shredded during Shred Day Thursday at the Montana Credit Union in Great Falls.
In addition, five barrels of food and $275 were collected for the food bank, according to Montana Credit Union.
Despite the rain, Shred Day was a success.
GREAT FALLS, Mont. - Shred Day is kicking off in Great Falls Thursday at the Montana Credit Union on 14th Street in Great Falls.
Event-goers are allowed to bring up to two boxes of old documents and paperwork to shred.
The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
